Celebrate Black History Month with Frederick Douglass

Poet and speaker Nathan Richardson will portray Frederick Douglass at the Burrowsville Community Center, 18701 James River Drive, Disputanta. The event is scheduled February 18, 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. It is sponsored by the Hopewell-Prince George Friends of the Library.

An Evening With Frederick Douglass

The Hopewell/Prince George Friends of the Library present “An Evening with Frederick Douglass” on Friday, February 20, at 7 p.m. at the Burrowsville Library. Nathan Richardson, acclaimed poet and spoken word performer, captures the physical and spiritual essence of the great orator and abolitionist. His 30 minute performance surveys his life with excerpts from speeches and is followed by a 30 minute question and answer time.
